...got home to realise there was a giant "XL" sticker running down the front of the new t-shirt I pulled on in a rush. Marvellous.

Anyone else nailing it this morning?

Once walked around for half the day with some lacy knickers stuck to my sleeve because of static in the tumble drier.

TheOrigRights · 01/07/2021 12:05

I did a presentation to a group of undergraduates a while ago.

I had my lucky red lacy knickers on.

When I went to the loo afterwards I realised my flies were undone.

The presentation was in a class room, so my flies were at their eye level.

One black shoe, one blue - I only noticed about an hour before I left work. On another occasion (in the 90's), I was pleasantly surprised to find people smiling at me as I made my way round the supermarket. How nice, I though until a lady was kind enough stop me and point out that the shoulder pads in my top had worked their way forward and were sticking out at the front. It looked like I was wearing chicken fillets round my neck!

Piccalily19 · 01/07/2021 12:20

Ha!
I did A WHOLE SHIFT at a supermarket on the tills with mascara only on one eye once.
Thankfully I was young and on a budget so it was crap mascara so the one eye didn’t look that great anyway 😂

Backhometothenorth · 01/07/2021 12:21

Many incidents at work of peppa pig stickers on my back/ trousers courtesy of young dd. Worse still was facilitating a very serious training course and discovering a ghostly yoghurt hand print on the back of my black top when I returned home!

Summerfun54321 · 01/07/2021 12:24

Went to the supermarket with 3 stickers on my face, one on my forehead and one on each cheek. My young DC were messing around and I’d forgotten they were there. Only realised when I was home again.

Alexdrake44 · 01/07/2021 12:26

My daughter uses these patch things for spots, pimple patches or suchlike, thought I’d give them a go one day and answered the door to my neighbour forgot I had one on, had a bright yellow star stuck on my face ⭐️

CalamityGladys · 01/07/2021 12:30

I have had a mastectomy - not many people know - they may have guessed when one day I forgot to put my left prothesis in my bra- had a very lopsided work for a while.

Phyllis321 · 01/07/2021 12:31

I used baby powder instead of dry shampoo once and forgot to brush it out. Had several animated conversations at work, couldn't understand why people weren't making eye contact..

JackieTheFart · 01/07/2021 12:32

Oh god I’ve done the top on backwards and/or inside out so many times. Often knickers backwards also - odd how they feel weird but I never cotton on till I can see the problem.

Years ago I and a check up with the nurse before I got my repeat script for the pill. I wasn’t feel too well, so literally rolled out of bed put on some joggers and raced out the door at the last possible minute. I was wearing a silk cami under a hoodie.

I had to take off the hoodie to have my blood pressure taken, and it was only as I put it back on that I realised my left boob was peeking out of the bottom of the cami, bit like Snoopy’s nose. I was so embarrassed. The nurse said nothing and I’m sure was completely unfazed but I was mortified!

However this was several years ago and she’s been up my foof more than since so I’m over it Grin

MrsMoastyToasty · 01/07/2021 12:35

I was with DS sitting in McDonald's eating my lunch when I realised that the bit of paper stuck to the bottom of my stretch jersey skirt wasn't a.piece of paper, but was in fact was the garment label. Not only did I have it on inside out, but upside-down too!

SeaToSki · 01/07/2021 12:39

Ive gone out without realising there was baby sick all down my shoulder

Ive taken the dc to school with no shoes on - we have an attached garage, so they had just run out to get in the car with just their socks on (aged 5-6 ish) and we got to the school drop off and I had to pull into the side, piggy back them into school and then they had to go and get their PE shoes on for the day.

JaneJeffer · 01/07/2021 14:07

I once put some 'face lift' moisturiser from Aldi on and went to the supermarket. When I got home and looked in the mirror I realised it was full of glitter.

I've gone for a night out with a huge price tag hanging down the back of my top that I forgot to remove.

I've gone to work with tops on backwards and inside out. My boss once pulled me aside to tell me the zip in the back of my skirt was open.

Alonelonelylonersbadidea · 01/07/2021 14:16

I had my final law exams about 2/3 days after giving birth and the last was 4 hours long. I was leaking like a geyser and my boobs were so big I had to actually undo my bra. Worse still it was a very hot June and it was a white Tshirt.

So embarrassing. But I passed!!

RiderGirl · 01/07/2021 14:18

Ooh my mum once got distracted putting her blusher on - think cream type, she said it was quite red, she'd put a big red circle on each cheek then forgot to rub it in and got on the bus. It was quite a long journey and she said she was happily chatting to the other passengers, when she got off she caught sight of herself and realised she looked like Looby Loo Blush Blush

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 01/07/2021 14:52

@SeaToSki - I am sure there is some secret class somewhere, where babies learn the art of the stealth one you don’t realise has even happened, but is half way down your back.

ALongHardWinter · 01/07/2021 17:37

This thread reminded me of the time a few years ago I was walking around for the best part of the day with a 'Try me,you'll live me' sticker on the side of my cardigan. GrinBlush

ALongHardWinter · 01/07/2021 17:37

Love me,not live me!

pissface · 01/07/2021 17:44

I got my nipples pierced and had to pull my bra down for it, when I got home I noticed a 32D sticker stuck to the side. Felt a tit.

WestendVBroadway · 01/07/2021 18:13

I have really bushy wavy hair. Years ago (before straighteners) I used to blow dry my hair straight and put a pop sock on my head to keep my hair flat while I got ready to go clubbing. I put my top on , gave my hair a quick brush and went out to several pubs on the way to the club. It was many hours later when my friend told me I had a pop sock hanging out of my collar.

fluffythedragonslayer · 01/07/2021 19:14

I have done the inside out clothes thing so many times. Once I was at work and I suddenly realised my cardigan was inside out, I said oops and changed it, my colleague said oh yes I noticed that but you wear such interesting clothes I thought it might be the style to have the seams on the outside. I don't wear interesting clothes at all, I'm really quite unimaginative when it comes to fashion!!

Ha, I once came back from a fumble date with my top inside out and was chatting to my mum in the kitchen when I noticed.

Tried to be nonchalant while all the time feeling invisible arrows pointing at my top until I could make my excuses and go upstairs!!!

JumpLeadsForTwo · 02/07/2021 07:03

DH thinks it's hilarious to try and stick a food sticker (two for one/ Tesco's finest etc) on my back by giving me an enthusiastic hug when I'm about to go out. Had many a weird look. It's turned into a game now where if I realise I'll pretend I don't and try and get him back. DDs know to help me as they think he's very childish 😂

Datsandcogs · 20/07/2021 11:09

Yup, met with headteacher last month. She asked how we were.

Mortified when I got home to finally notice that my shoes, same colour, same brand, were different finished - one sparkle and the other sequinned!!
