Trampoline - how much to spend to get a...?

Hi

Just looking for opinions on trampolines brands and trying to decide whether worth spending extra on certain brands?? Say something like Sportspower (Argos - around 200) vs Plum (400-500) vs Jumpking and TP (around 600+).

My greatest concern is safety and then longevity, but they all seem to say they have strong nets, protected springs etc etc and similarish warranties.

Can anyone help. 8.5 months pregnant, brain frazzled and don't seem to be getting anywhere!

I have a plum play trampoline for my kids and it's very well built, seems safe and sturdy. I'm glad I chose it over some of the more expensive options.

We bought a decent condition second hand TP on eBay. That was 12 years ago and we finally had to get a new bed and enclosure for it last year (2 boys who are gymnasts!) We do dismantle it and put it in the shed (bar the base) for the winter.

I paid £300 for our trampoline (in the sale) and I'm glad I did, 3 years on it looks as new. The cheapo ones always seem to buckle, nets rip etc.

We got the plum junior one about almost 5 years ago for my DD’s fourth birthday. She was 9 this week and we passed it down to our grandchildren at the beginning of the summer. It was still in really good condition just a little faded (it was a pink one so probably didn’t help).

We've literally just bought a jumpking.

I was like you- going round and round in circles and did some research and decided that I would spend a bit more- (£599)
Also went for a rectangular one as it made the best use of the space in the corner that it lives in.

Can't comment on the longevity of it - but am so far impressed. And it looks a lot better than I expected - was dreading the thought of an eyesore for a few years. It's also pretty quiet- the neighbours can't hear it.

It's very strong and sturdy- hadn't actually realised a trampoline could be so heavy.
Would recommend....

We went springless!

Bought a jump king round 14 foot ten years ago. It has become our best ever value item in terms of amount paid v how many times it has been been used. Kids are on it on average every three days throughout the the year ....for the last ten years. Never had to replace base or springs, they're all still in good condition. Have had to replace net twice at a cost of £100 a time because they deteriorate and rip if left out all winter like ours. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for all your comments. Feeling like i might struggle to convince DH about the Jumpking but might stretch to Plum. Anymore views on Plum out there???

We’ve got a 10ft jumpking. Ordered it from John Lewis, the delivery guys were lovely.
