You're right to get him tested but what you clearly have there is a healthy child. So even if his genetics show CF he is clearly not unwell and the science is around now to keep him well. I work with a cf service and the modulators are basically miraculous.

@mommycarol is that a night club in Cyprus?

We usually have quiet family holidays there. No clubbing involved. We stay at Panera or around there.

@mommycarol ah I live in Yorkshire, I don't know London that well.

@mommycarol. Will do.

And please let me know how the sweat test goes. I am sure it will be fine, but know how worrying it can be. Flowers

jumpbounce · 26/06/2021 23:34

I wouldn't be worrying too much OP. My own DC had a sweat test done but it was after a significant number of serious respiratory infections. They had multiple symptoms of CF infact pretty much all of them, frrquent infections/pneumonia, stools, not gaining weight, as well as some suspicion regarding changes in lungs on imaging. Googling had me completely convinced that was our answer but the sweat test was normal so no point worrying about it until you know for sure Flowers

@mommycarol finger crossed you get the results quickly.

Its easy to say but just try and keep yourself distracted and try not to think about it.

Your son sounds healthy and happy. Try and think of it as more ruling it out, for peace of mind Flowers

I echo what the others say, to step away from google and wait for the sweat test. My sister who is in her 20s has CF, she was diagnosed at around 6 months old.
Best of luck, hoping it's a negative for your son.
