PCR tests - how long is the turnaround at the moment?

9 hours and negative in Guildford earlier this week.

22 hours for a negative result for us, test was yesterday. South west.

@TheChosenTwo he was going on a business trip and had to have one and paid as he thought it would be quicker!

My DGD had one on Sunday afternoon at 2.15 pm,she received the result at 7.30 am the following morning. She lives in West London.

Had dd tested at 11am today (she has a temperature). Really want results quickly, we have a family party tomorrow!! I almost don’t mind if it’s positive cos at least we’ll know we’ve done the right thing, but if it doesn’t come back in time and is then negative we’ll be gutted. Thankfully she’s not at all poorly with a bit of calpol in her.
