Through the roof or down the hallway?

Alright ladies?

Posting here for traffic... sorry.

Just need your honest opinions on what you would do in my situation.

I'm pregnant with numero 2.
Wahoo! However, the first little one caused grade 3+ damage on her way out 😬 and so I have been told by my gynaecologist that there would be an option for a csection.

That's because if this next little darling does the same thing (not a given) then let's just say all the kegel-ing in the world won't help me this time around. Possibility of double incontinence for the foreseeable.

I'm under no illusions that elcs is the easy way out that it is often made out to be. So ladies what would you do?

Elcs all the way.

If I were you I would have a C-section by the way!

NakedAttraction · 21/06/2021 19:42

C section. Without a doubt. Why wouldn’t you?

No way would I risk double in continence. Elective section

TSSDNCOP · 21/06/2021 20:12

Professional advice all the way. Double in continence absolutely no way.

LakieLady · 21/06/2021 20:14

C-sec, definitely. Just reading this has made me cross my legs, very hard.

MiloAndEddie · 21/06/2021 20:15

C sec 100% (actually what I opted for in similar circs).

Why oh why would you risk double incontinence?!

WeWantAMackerelNotASprat · 21/06/2021 20:17

I had grade 3 tear but an easy 2nd vaginal birth and a minor tear. I didn't want the c section option as I like to be up and about quickly!!

Bargebill19 · 21/06/2021 20:17

C section. ! (This should be part of sex Ed)

Bargebill19 · 21/06/2021 20:18

Sorry - but crossing my legs a long with pp

burritofan · 21/06/2021 20:22

Vag and shitting myself all the way, think of the larks you’ll have looking after a newborn like that.

(100% elcs, is my serious answer.)

Floralnomad · 21/06/2021 20:25

ELCS , any day of the week . I had an horrendous first vaginal delivery and had a section for the second and it was honestly a breeze in comparison .

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 21/06/2021 20:27

From your thread title I was expecting it to be about house renovations 😂

Have an ELC.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 21/06/2021 20:30

Having had both, stitches on your lower stomach are nothing compared to stitches on your vag.

Bluntness100 · 21/06/2021 20:32

Csection defo.

TheLesserOfTwoWeevils · 21/06/2021 20:34

I was in the same situation and went for the c-section. I have no regrets whatsoever.

BruceAndNosh · 21/06/2021 20:34

I wouldn't use the hallway if you're going to splinter the front door, ruin the porch and trash the path on your way out

DramaAlpaca · 21/06/2021 20:36

You say your doctor has mentioned you having a c-section, so that's what you should do.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 21/06/2021 20:37

I don't even understand why this is a question to be honest.

Biscuitandacuppa · 21/06/2021 20:37

Sun roof

HollowTalk · 21/06/2021 20:38

I think you should go for double incontinence, OP.

throughtheroofordownthehallway · 21/06/2021 21:15

That's pretty unanimous then! Thanks everyone.

In response to pp I'm asking because it's major surgery (with all the risks that brings) and a guaranteed wound and scar compared with the possibility everything might be ok second time around!

But someone has said they've had both and that's really helpful to know.

And yeah the risks of it not being ok are pretty big.

Thanks all

I don't think a c section would be any worse than a grade 3 tear and it's definitely not as bad as shitting yourself at ASDA I can tell you by experience.

NakedAttraction · 21/06/2021 21:53

You can hardly see my scars now, they were pretty fine within a few months if I remember correctly and certainly too low down to see in any bikini I would wear. Maybe a consideration if you’re a porn star but not otherwise Grin
