Do I need an appointment via 111 if it's something non life threatening?

No

monkeymobocracy · 20/06/2021 17:17

OK thanks, is it a case of just walk in and wait?

Do I need to take any NHS proof or anything?

You may find it better to ring 111. We recently did and was seen before quite a few people that had been waiting. We got given an apt time to go to the triage bit before being sent to a&e.

Domoresteps · 20/06/2021 17:29

In my area you have to ring first and they give you a number to present when you get there.

Ring 111 because they might send you to a minor injuries/urgent care centre or out of hours centre rather than A+E which may be better for what you need.

Thank you - I have called back 111 and they are sending a doctor / nurse to see me at home (they had advised last night to go to A and E, but I am really worried that I will be seen as a time waster as it's not life threatening and I appreciate they are probably very, very busy).

Hope you're okay OP. They obviously don't think you're a time waster to send someone to see you Thanks
