Why do worries feel so so so much worse at night?

Heart pounding, feel sick, feel sad.

Same anxiety as earlier today but all reels unbearable now. Why?!

There was a lovely thread a while back which was "I'll watch your worries for you" - it was just a very gentle late night thread where people were posting that they had a burden, with people who were already up were being supportive.

Worries do seem worse at night, sometimes verbalising mine helps (particularly with practice), I say thank you to my brain for trying to warn me that this is a worry (dh thinks this is bonkers but it works for me), writing my worries into two lists of things in my power to change and ones out of my hands.

I hope you get some well earned peace soon.
