Mild or not-mint toothpaste

Can anyone suggest a really mild flavoured mint toothpaste or an alternative, that I can actually get hold of?! Things come up on an Internet search but I can't actually find them to buy. It's for my Dd age 6 who hates mint but needs adult toothpaste now.

Have you tried Aquafresh Little Teeth. I would stick with that if I she likes it. Anything with upwards of 1450 ppm Fluoride is fine. They obviously market it for small children ( mainly so they can charge more) but using kids toothpaste into adulthood is fine if you like a milder taste, just look out for the fluoride content, that’s the important bit.

I do know what I’m talking about btw, I used to be a Quality Department Lead in a toothpaste factory

We use Oranurse unflavoired toothpaste for DD who has Autism and can't cope with flavours. I get it from Amazon.

Colgate Herbal is great, I've been using it for years as I don't like mint toothpaste.

It's no longer sold in UK shops but is still made for overseas markets and can be purchased on eBay at around £6 for three tubes, I think Amazon stock it as well.

@Temp023 thank you, she won't tolerate the aquafresh but I've just looked at her fruit flavoured colgate and it has the 1450 fluoride which is actually the same as my sensodyne! Assuming then that I can just stick with that even though its labelled 3-5yrs.

Ds uses crest mild mint but it seems to be going out of stock and turning into fresh mint
Oral B does a junior 6+ one that says it's mild mint

Or just stuck with the one you have if it has 1450ppm fluoride

Just last night my 10 year old asked me to get him strawberry toothpaste as the mint i buy is too strong and I told him he couldn't use it as its for little children.
Good to know that it isn't.

As long as its got 1450ppm fluoride you can use any of the toothpastes whether they are marketed for children or not

Punch and Judy toothpaste on amazon. Decent fluoride content, comes in strawberry, bubble gum and hint of mint. My kid likes them, not strong flavoured.

Colgate do a strawberry flavoured one. So do Morrisons own brand. I've got them for DS.

There are fruit flavoured toothpastes for children, savers has a good range x

Unfortunately Crest seemed to discontinue their Mild Mint toothpaste that I used to get for autistic ds from Home Bargains or I'd have recommended that.

He does now tolerate the Crest gel one (he's 17 now so has got used to it). Prior to that he used the children's Sensodyne.

Where do you still get Crest mildmint from? I do still have a couple of tubes I bought about a year ago.

Tesco do a strawberry one too which is 1450ppm too. My youngest loves it.

DS 10 uses Aquafresh watermelon one and although it has a hint of mint he likes it after hating all the other ones

@Comefromaway I got some recently in Savers but they had started putting out freshmint in its place so I bought about 3.

Ah, I did that in my Savers about 18 months ago. They've had none since.

Oranurse from pharmacies (usually have to ask) or plenty of fruit flavoured ones.
Tried everything else for my SN ds before oranurse was "invented". Mint was too minty; apple was too green, fruit was too fruity...

Forever Aloe Vera is really mild and brilliant for your teeth, fluoride free. You can get in on Amazon, it's expensive but you only need a tiny bit and the tubes last ages

No need to be rude. Some people do not want fluoride toothpastes.

Nope, she’s right. Cleaning your teeth without fluoride is more or less pointless.
