Brolly sheets for bed wetting - alternatives?

Rocketearth · 14/06/2021 22:00

Has anyone used a good alternative to Brolly Sheets for bed wetting? They seem so pricey at £24.95 each and we would need at least two I guess.

DS(6) has just been referred to the enuresis clinic and the nurse said to buy these.

Honestly? I'd use Dry-Nites or something similar until you've seen the consultant, less washing on your end and less likely to disturb his sleep due to being wet.

We use a peapod mat for our little one, brilliant, two would work best, one being washed and you can still use the other.

You can search Kylie sheets on Amazon and get lots of cheaper options I don't think there is much of a difference really, except price! Lots of nursing homes I've visited use similar. With children I found it was more about size so even if they wriggled about it still protected in the right place

I've been using them for years due to incontinence.

I buy unbranded on Amazon for as at today price 13.25 for a pack of two. My last purchases was in 2016 and they are still going strong so last well, they go through the washing machine at least 2/3 times a week each, triple spin cycle and I run the sensor on the tumble dryer as extra dry, it has kept it right and completely dry for night time as I found other cycle or line drying didn't get right into the fully dry.I was recommended the brolly ones which I found too expensive as well. These are as good if not better,

If I can help with anything you want to ask, let me know.

If he is in a single bed, the tucks will be the best as will hold it in place despite wriggles from a six year old. Then if going to a double bed, cut off the tucks and lay overlapping.

I've used them in hotels and various places.

@NotanotherboxofFrogs what do you search on Amazon if they are unbranded? Sorry if that's a daft question Blush or do you have a link?

No brand name but does exactly the same job, holds up to 3 litres at a time and wicks away from the person

Works very well on top of a Terry waterproof mattress protector and saves the mattress getting wet
