fuck me it's too hot to cook!

we usually eat dinner around 7 - 7.30pm, but I haven't even put the food on because it's just too hot to turn the oven on!

I've already defrosted the chicken breasts so way past the point of no return (can't leave it for another day, already have other stuff lined up this week), but I just want to serve cereal & milk with ice cubes! 😁

what are you having tonight?

urgh, never mind oven.

DS4 hurt his hand, looks like it might be fractured so going to A&E. urgh.
is showering with freezer vodka a good shout, once I'm back?

Lucky you, I’ve had a thick jumper on all day 😭 (not lucky DS though, hope he’s ok!)

I did a stir fry with rice. Thankfully fast. We can't turn oven on we have open plan lounge kitchen and it was 28 degrees!

I’ve just made a pasta bake and now having to have a break to lay in front of the fan. Not sure I can face putting the oven on for it yet

We had hotdogs, just the ones you need to microwave and put in a bun. Living the dream.

he's being x-rayed as we speak, really hoping it's just me being overly cautious and there's no fracture.

On Sunday we had a bbqd whole chicken so last night dh and I had chicken/Mayo/bacon/avocado in a ciabatta. Delicious and other than grilling some streaky bacon, no cooking!

Oh, and heating up the ciabatta I suppose, but we had the kitchen doors all the way open and it didn’t take that long…

thanks for asking. he's actually broken 3 fingers😱 with an injury called boxer's fracture.
needs another x-ray by Friday to see if he needs an operation 😱😱

Scotland, I had the heating on for a quick hour last night as it was chilly 🤣 Had nice warming bowl of spag bol for dinner.

Sitting here now WFH with big cardigan/slippers on and blanket over my knees as it is 14 degrees, overcast, no heat coming in from windows and I refuse to turn heating back on today.

If I lived down your way and got that heat regularly I'd need to invest in proper air conditioning!!!

I have bolognese sauce that just need reheating so no big deal.
(I'm not paying for takeaway for 15 people when food's already prepped!😁)
