Help me find an oak ‘effect’ wooden floor

Following on from my scruffy house thread, I’ve started looking at new flooring for the downstairs rooms.

I’ve looked at the big brands but can’t find anything so far that hasn’t got very distinctive fake wood patterns and obvious joins.

Please show me your ‘Oak’ flooring and tell me what it is!

We’ve got real wood click and connect stuff at the moment and it’s a mess. Lots of scuffs and dents so I wouldn’t go for actual wood again.

The only thing that looks like wood is wood. Go for tiles or rubber instead - or laminate in a nice pattern (or cork - cheap and warm) ?

I don’t know what click and connect floors are but engineered wood floors are usually fine, as long as you don’t have them in kitchen/bath room. Or you could look at solid boards from a local suppliers so avoid crazy prices.

Yes, I think we might have engineered wood atm. A layer of real wood over a base. Comes in planks that click together.
