Why do I still look pregnant?? 😩😩

My DS is 4 months old (roughly 17 weeks) and to start with I lost the baby weight quite quickly and was back in a lot of my pre pregnancy clothes. But over the last month or so I’ve really got a belly again! I don’t know why, I’m eating fairly well, I take DS out for a walk nearly every day, I’d say I’m pretty active, but nothing seems to be making a difference and I was even asked when I was due the other day so I went home and cried! Anyone else experience this and/or have any tips? TIA

@icecreamgirl94 ooooh I'm gonna have to take a trip to primark!
I found after having babies if I snacked on rubbish food it went straight to my belly (still does) i dont have to eat lots just a bit and it goes there, really annoying.

It does look like diastasis recti - nothing to do with your weight, just a result of your stomach muscles separating to accommodate your baby. I'm a slim lady and I had a huge baby. I had a 3 finger gap in stomach muscles whereas the norm tends to be up to 2 fingers. The gap normally closes on it's own but not always. I'd suggest you may need physiotherapy to assess it and advise you on the right exercises to help close it - normally core exercises to strengthen the muscles. There are lots of postnatal experts who specialise in this. Others have suggested the mummy MOT which is a good idea. Congratulations on your baby xx

It took me 6 months to lose the baby weight and the tummy. I went with the idea of 9 months on 9 months off. I was breastfeeding and walking lots. You will lose it as you have many more months to shift it.

Thank you so much everybody for all your comments and advice. I’ve booked an appointment for a mummy MOT so hopefully that will get things sorted. Thanks again 😊
