DP and I can't agree.

Short or long O?

I say the o as in lock, DP says o as in oar.

I say Oreo with a short "o"

My DH says "oh-reo" like the O in OJ

EmmaStone · 11/06/2021 20:37

Oar-ee-oh. I grew up in the US and that's how I remember saying it then?

MissMaple82 · 11/06/2021 20:46

O reo

AgeLikeWine · 11/06/2021 20:48

Oreo is an American brand, so I pronounce it as they do : OAR-ee-oh, with the emphasis firmly on the first syllable.

Gullible2021 · 11/06/2021 20:50

oar-ee-oh

Didn't realise there was any other way to
say it!

CornishGem1975 · 11/06/2021 20:52

O-rio with an O like in Oscar.

MadMadMadamMim · 11/06/2021 20:59
