You know how it's said that there would never be room for ALL the world's planes to be grounded at the same time? I found out today it's the same for my house's laundry

I reckon 50% of our clothes, towels and bedding are constantly travelling between the dirty washing basket, the drying rack or washing line, and finally the clean washing basket where they get taken fro to be used.

After feeling a bit spring-cleany today I've realised why. They would never all fit in our cupboards, drawers and wardrobes. So my tough choice for a Friday is buy more storage or let our laundry just keep travelling forever? Grin

My conservatory puts in a valiant effort at it. It's been a great week for shifting a backlog of laundry aggravated by a camping trip. Shame it needs putting away...

Floordrobe/chairdrobe/gym equipment-drone.

We got an ottoman bed and suddenly all the sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, random blankets and towels had a home. Bliss!

Oh god yes! If I have a really good, productive washing day when it's warm I have overflowing drawers and nowhere to put some of it.
It's better now, after lockdown. I have been very ruthless and kept on top of taking away the outgrown clothes and not buying anything new for myself.

Same with plates and cups in our house

I often cut out the middleman and dress from the tumbledrier.
especially in the winter. bliss

I've realised that I need to go through and throw out a lot of my pants and socks as the top layer is in constant circulation and the less comfortably/little holes/saggy elastic ones have just sunk to the bottom because I don't like wearing them. Once I've done that it will be less of a struggle to get the drawer closed after a couple of intensive wash days.

I definitely need to be ruthless with underwear. I've got bras in there that fitted before pregnancy (9 years agoBlush) and we both have socks that have more holes than cotton. Coupled with a MIL who buys us a pack of socks each for Christmas.

Like pp, my conservatory is basically a laundry room. I have no idea what we'll do when it gets knocked down next year Confused.

MildredPuppy we have the opposite. Once the dishwasher is full there's no crockery left. I need to buy some more, we are quite a clumsy house so rarely have more than 5 or 6 of anything breakable. Grin
