Has anyone’s DC got or had a subscription to National Geographic Kids mag?

Would you or they recommend it? Would it be interesting to a bright, fact-liking 6 year old who can read independently and enjoys finding out about nature/science? I’ve seen reviews saying it’s full of ads and there’s not much to read in it and it’s not great value. Would you say that’s true? Thanks

There are so many I’ve not heard of. I’m going to buy a copy of Phoenix ( seem to be in WH Smith) and see how it goes down. I’ve also come across one called Chickadee which looks possible. Has anyone come across it before?
