Has anyone studied for a CIMA qual?

I'm considering enrolling to study the CGMA (masters level), has anyone done this recently? Pass rates are quite low which makes me nervous, although I have recently achieved a 2.1 degree, and have some exemptions towards the qual as I completed 2 accredited modules during my degree, and I'm currently working at a managerial level in finance (8 years experience). Any recent experiences of how hard and how many hours study per week would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi OP, I haven't done cima but I am a Chartered Accountant with ICAI and my younger brother is currently doing his exams with ACCA.
I did my exams in my 20s when i had very few other responsibilities and could just focus on them. They are a significant step up from university BUT I think flexible in that you can decide how many to do per year etc. So you can go as quickly or slowly as you like.

Thanks Cathie. I did my degree whilst working full time and my dd was much younger, this time I would have a supportive employer and dd is a teen so hopefully it will feel a bit easier to juggle, but I could be wrong! Grin. Logically I should manage, I got distinctions in the accredited exams I sat in 2019.. I don't want the fear of failing to stop me trying.

Then definitely go for it! It opens a lot of doors and here where I live there’s a lot of job prospects. It’s not the most exciting career but i like it.
