Fox or Honeychurch.

Asking for a friend who is changing her name after a difficult, to say the least, relationship. They are both family names. She can't decide which to choose.

She has a 4 syllable name if it makes any difference.

TIA

Sorry. This was supposed to be in baby names.

What a choice! Two pretty cool names!

I'd probably go for Honeychurch myself... It's lovely and interesting.

You could ask MNHQ to move this to Baby Names if you like, but it seems it's not really about naming a baby.

Another vote for Honeychurch; I love it and kinda wish it was my surname!

Checkingout811 · 08/06/2021 14:03

Honeychurch!!!!

MintMunchie · 08/06/2021 14:04

No. Not for a baby. I've posted there anyway as I've seen people ask for name advice for adults too.

She's swaying towards Honeychurch but worries that it's too twee and people might not take it seriously. Personally I think it's beautiful and unusual but I wouldn't call it twee.

Fox - it's simple but not particularly common and shouldn't need spelling out every time you tell it to someone.

MrsBungle · 08/06/2021 14:05

I prefer Fox.

Blacktothepink · 08/06/2021 14:05

Definitely Honeychurch!

JemimaTiggywinkle · 08/06/2021 14:06

Love Honeychurch. I like Fox as well, I guess it depends whether she wants to stand out or blend in.

TenThousandSpoons · 08/06/2021 14:06

Double barrel it to Honey-Fox

KM38 · 08/06/2021 14:08

Both pretty cool names @MintMunchie!! I’d go the whole hog and double barrel it to Honeychurch-Fox 😁

EversoDelighted · 08/06/2021 14:12

Fox. Honeychurch is too long with a 4 syllable first name.

Strokethefurrywall · 08/06/2021 14:12

Fox for sure.

MrsBongiovi · 08/06/2021 14:14

Fox. Simple and cool.

PegPeople · 08/06/2021 14:14

With a 4 syllable name I think Fox would be more sensible and sound better. 4 syllables and then having Honeychurch is going to be a complete mouthful.

BlueLobelia · 08/06/2021 14:16

4 sylllables and Honeychurch work for me. 'Esmeralda Honeychurch' for example. Brilliant.
