Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has experience the BTA?
I bought membership for my daughter for £250 per term, they don’t teach them anything during the class - no singing, no dancing, it’s kind of lip moving to the recorded tape. They present it as if they are singing on Facebook though.
For me it is a total scam. I tried to get her out after one month, and the manager Dean Johnson was so rude and had such awful manners, I had to write complaints.
Please think before you sign up with them. Unless you want to lose £250 and gain nothing.

Matthew Chandler, their 'CEO' terminated my son's paying membership (and apparently 5 other kids), only because the parents dared to question his methodology. He posts constant rants on the FB groups, scaring parents into not saying ANYTHING at all, and his creatives are not allowed to speak up either. A dictatorship run by a narcissist, who thinks he is God. Actually hilarious. He is doing an amazing job to ruin BTA's reputation. There is not much teaching going on and definitely not nurturing. So glad my son is out of there. He is rude and unprofessional (other staff display similar attitudes), hides behind 'caring for children', yet doesn't think twice about hurting a child's feelings. For most kids this is just a hobby; the man needs to get over himself and his huge ego. Incredibly unprofessional, exploiting kids and their emotions

This is such a shame to hear as about 4-5 years ago they were an incredible organisation with some fantastic alumni.

What a shame it’s gone like this.

My daughter is in one of their shows this term (on one of the free places they offer), she is loving it so far and they are definitely doing plenty of singing and dancing. I initially thought we wouldn't bother continuing if they offered a paid place but I'm starting to consider it. I know some people have had bad experiences, and I am being cautious, but no complaints so far.

It's a shambles. There are much better schools out there, who actually teach and nurture and whose leaders don't spend time ranting on FB and slagging off anyone they can. So unprofessional

As long as you don't question a thing he says, it will be fine. There is no consideration for children's feelings, which I find disturbing and think social services would have something to say about that too
