Which teeth did you find the worst when teething?

I’m asking because we are having all sorts of trouble with the lower canines and I really wasn’t expecting it!
I’d been warned about premolars and molars but not these

To be fair DS is a bit poorly with a temp and has been all weekend but it’s the teeth that really seem to be bothering him and waking him up - he’s been grumpy before but nothing like this! One has finally come through the gum and I think the other one is about to - I put teething gel on this evening and he screamed the place down and that side was kind of squashy like the gum had collapsed a bit. He was right as rain once it kicked it, albeit with a very hot cheek on that side.

We’ve had the constant drooling this weekend - his chest has been permanently soaked - the more frequent and slightly green more explosive nappies, been off his food a bit and biting anything he can get his hands on, plus the crying and waking. Plus a temp on top which I think is too high to be just teething so will be giving the GP a call first thing, although nurofen has helped that a lot.

I think because the front top and bottom few had popped through with a bit of griping and irritation I didn’t expect it from these ones!

Please don’t tell me the molars are even worse?!

The front ones were the worst. The molars came through without me even noticing! They weren’t so dribbly which I think made a difference, but then I had one child who was a miserable monster with teeth and one who was completely chilled. They’ve both now got their adult teeth through and that was a breeze, luckily. Sometimes it just depends what else is going on, how their pain threshold is, I don’t think there are any rules tbh.

Keep using all the pain relief at appropriate doses and intervals, don’t wait for symptoms to get worse. That’s the only thing I think I’ve learned.

With DD seemed to get progressively worse with each set of teeth, other than the second molars which we barely noticed.

All four canines and the upper pre molars arrived together within the space of about a week or so - that was fun!

DS is getting 2nd molars now. I haven't noticed it as much with his moods as I did when he got canines but the nappies have been worse with these and he gets nappy rash no matter how quickly and often we change him when he's teething. But then there's a lot of saliva because he chews on anything and everything. I also think I noticed the first few teeth more because I was more anxious and there wasn't as much going on as we were in lockdown. Now we have baby classes to distract us both!

I’m unsure whether the temp and everything is due to just his teeth or whether he’s poorly with teeth on top but I guess we will find out when I eventually manage to get a callback from the doctor!

He’s off his food a bit but also picking things that are hard like Cheerios so I’m wondering if he’s also being a bit fussy
