It's up to you and your mum to decide if her joy at going to see the show would outweigh any anxiety about covid. I've booked tickets for a number of shows from July onwards and can't wait to get back to seeing live performances again. Have you looked at Today Tix? There are usually good deals on there although it's always worth looking on the theatre website itself first.

DD and I went to the theatre yesterday (should have originally been in January but had to be rescheduled 3 times) all was fine and well organised, empty seats between each ticket booking and masks had to be worn throughout the performance. Funnily enough I booked tickets just last week for DD's birthday to see Tina in August, so I'd say go for it. I booked direct through here:
tinathemusical.com/uk/

Unless there is another lockdown (unlikely I would think) then worst case scenario will be having to distance and wear masks.

TodayTix is a great app for theatre tickets.

Should be fine for august 🤞

I've got loads of theatre tickets booked for August onwards, I'm not bothered about masks or crowds, my only doubt is whether they will go ahead. But if they don't I'll just rebook, I'll see the shows at some point, and for now I am happy to help support the industry by booking and helping their cash flow. My sister called them my 'musical theatre futures' and I like that phrase - they are an investment which will pay off at some point without losing their value in the meantime!
