Over the years and with 6 children there have been times when unfortunately the tooth fairy didn't make it on the night the tooth was placed under the pillow. One time she couldn't get in as the window was closed and another time she left a tiny note to say that she had torn her wing and couldn't carry the tooth back but would return the following night!

£5 for the first tooth then £1 a tooth after that, sometimes the occasional £2 if it was a tricky one, if she doesn't have change, or as compensation if she is "running late" (i.e., totally forgets).

Normally £1 but once I gave £5 Blush

That was because when DD tooth fell out she was so excited about the tooth fairy and went to bed as normal. I would usually creep in the night and put it under pillow while she was asleep and I only just bloody well forgot! My poor DD was so upset and the next day I realised I only had a £5 note on me and thought I can't let her down twice, £5 it is Grin her eyes lit up at that

£1

50p or £1 depending on how much change the tooth fairy has. My sis gave her dd £5 for the first one, as that's what her friends got, but will give £1 for any others.
