Red, tight and hot skin

Hello!

I'm looking for some suggestions on a great skincare range / line for my skin.
As of recently I've had great skin, blemish free, even tone and radiant!
But over the last few months it's completely changed - it's always red no matter what I do, burning hot and really tight and dry. I can actually feel the heat coming out of my face...!

Can anybody recommend a good, sensitive skincare range that could help me get back to my usual self?? I wonder if my skin is reactive because I've been using a bee moisturiser (boots hyaluronic acid) I've noticed it's changed since using this.

I'm feeling so self conscious. I'm desperate to find something that will calm my skin down!!!

Avene tolerance range is good. Plus a good fragrance free spf like ultrasun

I’ve started to use a jade roller, my face feels less puffy. It might help

Maybe take an antihistamine too and see if it helps calm your skin.

My skin can get like this if I use something I’m allergic too/too many products/retinoids.

I like the REN evercalm range. It’s very soothing. Doesn’t contain spf though, you have to that separately.

Change your moisturiser. My skin reacts like that to anything Boots branded! I’ve never worked out what the ingredient I react to is, but I’ve only ever had that type of Reaction to Boots’ own brand, across all their various ranges. I’m absolutely fine with Nivea!

You need to change moisturiser, that’s a mild allergic reaction. I’m not sure what age you are but when I was still a teenager and having my medical for nursing I mentioned I was sensitive to make up to the Doctor. He said that make up and mucking about with products could be very bad for the skin and that the less stuff used on the face the better. What he said stuck with me,

I used ponds lotion for years which my Dad used and then simple moisturiser. My skin now I’m in my fifties is really good. Maybe a lot of it is genetics as my Dad had hardly any wrinkles and he was around till he was almost 85. He also had sensitive skin so didn’t use much on it at all.

Surely you’ve stopped using the bee moisturiser? You’re clearly reacting to that.

That’s interesting. I had terrible ski as a teenager - eczema, psoriasis and acne. A dermatologist told me much the same and told me to kept my skin care regime very simple - Pond’s cold cream or baby lotion, and witch hazel as a toner. I’m in my fifties now and can genuinely pass for late thirties. I just use “naice” soap (Faith in Nature) and Nivea moisturiser and sunblock. After much trial and error, this combo seems to work well with my skin and budget. I was a big afficianodo of Origins for a few years, but this seems better, although I can not filter out the effect of aging. And I never wear make up!

Could be Rosacea, hormonal, or allergic reaction.
Antihistamine first.
Simplify you products.
Stay out of the sun.

Try some of the Roche Posey products.
Speak to your local Pharmacist.
SPF is very important if its Rosacea.
Spicy food and alcohol can irritate the skin too.
