Any ideas - what have I done with my running kit?

You lot are good at this so here's what I thought I did:

Sat pm: put new capris bright pink running top in pile on landing to wash.
Sun am: ds2 still not added his coloured stuff so go and get it from his room, gather up pile, put in washer. Go out so ask DC to hang it in line when done. Come home, collect in wash, sort, put away.
Mon am: cannot find running capris. Nor, as I realise, pink top. Do not recall unpegging either. Dd does not recall pegging out pink top (black capris harder to remember). Did I in fact not wash them at all? If not, where are they?

Here's where I have looked:
running kit drawer
wash basket
ironing basket
ds2 wash basket
DH wash basket
every room

Any ideas wtf I have done with them? It's so annoying! TIA

Basically, you were distracted by something else - a more urgent job - and never actually put them on the pile on the landing.

Loving the loo roll cupboard! That is something I need!

Anyway UPDATE bought a new pair of the running capris last night (they are pretty cheap anyway and really nice so it's a good idea, should always rebuy anything really good you find) and this morning they were slung on the landing! Clean! Turns out they were in DS2's pile of clean clothes outside his door. YES I looked there, I really did, so only when I rebought them did the first pair become visible

Still can't find the pink top tho :(

Well I finally had a go at the ironing basket tonight (as in, I ironed some of it!) and as I was picking through to find the easy bits (everyone else does that, right?) I found the blimming pink top lurking within a bright pink hoodie! Honestly I looked in the basket more than once!

Only I could start a "lost" thread saying I had looked in the places where the things eventually actually are

No sign of the yellow Gap hoodie @CuriousandReady tho my pink one is a Gap one so maybe yours has changed colour...
