If a medical professional said this…

...Would you take it literally?

My GP told me to “let them know how I get on” with my treatment (it’s a safe but slightly unorthodox combination of prescriptions!) The pharmacist told me to come in and give him an update as he has the same condition as I and found the combination interesting

Are they just saying that to be polite or do you think they’re actually interested in an update? Seems weird to phone the GP when I don’t need assistance

You could always ask reception to pass a message on to your gp when you know how well the medication is working

I think they're interested. They'll need to know if your unorthodox prescription combination could help others.

Maybe they are interested. I once got a call late evening from a doctor I saw at the hospital to give me the results of a blood test.

He could have just sent it to my GP but he ‘thought I’d be really interested’ as when I went in for tests we had chatted about the possibility of me having a certain condition, and he had the test done on the off-chance. We had a nice chat... he was a lovely guy.
