Ok yes of course girls can watch fireman Sam, but my DD doesn't like it so far. My DS graduated from watching nursery rhymes onto Fireman Sam. So looking for something for DD. So far Peppa pig is not appreciate either. She will watch a little Paw Patrol with her older brother, she likes animals.

My toddler dd loves Maya the Bee on Amazon Prime.

Mogloveseggs · 30/05/2021 22:15

Mine are older now but baby jake and Raa raa the noisy lion were big favourites

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 30/05/2021 22:16

It's a while since Dd watched those sorts of shows (she's 12 now) but she used to like Transformer: Rescue Bots, one of the main characters is a girl scientist/inventor (like her dad). DD also liked Huckles Busytown mysteries - it used to be on Netflix the cast are all animals, Sid the Science kid and Barney.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 30/05/2021 22:17

Huckle might also be on youtube too and the books that they are based on are lovely.

@daisypond

Hey Duggee?

Bluey is fabulous.

Oh yes, Bluey. My three - 5, 6 and 9 - all love watching this.
KingdomScrolls · 30/05/2021 22:19

Andy's adventures on Cbeebies is about dinosaurs/animals. I'm not sure your child's sex dictates their televisual preferences though.

Eachpeachpears · 30/05/2021 22:21

Hey duggee?

I can't believe you draw the line at giggly girls characters but naughty Norman us fine and dandy

MadeForThis · 30/05/2021 22:24

Bluey. On Disney plus

daisypond · 30/05/2021 22:31

It’s on BBC now.

Postman Patricia?

Stick YouTube Kids app on and let her flick until she likes something.

Kisforkaylied · 30/05/2021 23:31

We enjoyed Masha and the Bear at that age. Or Octonauts & Bluey.

Kisforkaylied · 30/05/2021 23:32

Can't believe I forgot Go Jetters (forgive me Ubercorn, for I have sinned)

IHaveBrilloHair · 30/05/2021 23:36

Enjy Benjy, the kids show voiced by Ant and Dec?

LindaEllen · 30/05/2021 23:37

I'm 30 and I loved Fireman Sam when I was younger.

IHaveBrilloHair · 30/05/2021 23:39

Dora the Explorer, Doc McStuffins and Nella the Princess Knight are all programmes aimed at a similar age group with a female lead character if that’s what you mean.

Changechangychange · 31/05/2021 01:10

Oh if she’s younger, the narratives are probably too complicated for her!

DS really liked Bing at that age, simple enough for him to follow what was happening.

He also liked TwirlyWoos (toddler slapstick), and Let’s Go for A Walk.

And yes, look at the Night Garden/Teletubbies/Baby Jake end of things.

BritInAus · 31/05/2021 01:19

Bluey!!

1n5piration · 31/05/2021 07:46

My little Pony.

Horizons83 · 31/05/2021 07:50

Clangers?

Herja · 31/05/2021 07:50

Mine really liked peter rabbit (cbeebies and now netflix too I think). I'm not sure they understood the finer details, but they enjoyed all the animals.

HappyTimeTunnelDinosaur · 31/05/2021 07:51

My dd loves Waffle the wonder dog, though Sam is her current favourite. She also likes Go Jetters and anything with Andy.
