Recommendations for a private Gynaecologist in the south

Hi,

Could anyone give a recommendation for a private uro gynaecologist in the south of England? Preferably around Northants/Oxfordshire/Bucks or even London areas?

I am due prolapse surgery for grade 2/3 uterine, bowel and bladder prolapses (which I'm paying for as not covered on BUPA, it's pretty existing) however my surgeon who is one of the top people in my area has given me the options of a hysterectomy (though he doesn't recommend as I'm in my 30s even though my family is complete) or mesh. I don't want mesh. So I am looking for a different surgeon with different options. I know surgery can be done by stitching and I would prefer that.

Thanks.

This is my surgeon.

He does do prolapse surgery. He performs complex procedures laparascopically, both for the NHS and privately, in London and Hampshire.

I was lucky enough to be one of his NHS patients. Five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thanks for this.

I'm waiting for an appointment at QA (told it will be 32 weeks Hmm)

Good to know the surgeons are good once you get in the door!

OP I've also looked at Spire hospital in Hampshire.

Thank you both. I was booked in at The Manor in Oxford (supposedly 'the best') but I've cancelled because of the push to go for mesh. I've read so many first hand horror stories which initially I didn't take into account because they're historic and it was vaginal mesh, but recently they've been women who've had the same surgery as me (laparoscopic hysteropexy) with abdominal mesh who are suffering too. It's just too big a risk that it'll go wrong.

@itsgettingwierd can I ask how you got on? I’m currently in Hampshire looking into surgery!
