First day of half term here, I had a lie in & both girls are still snoring Grin. I'm just having my first cuppa, listening to all the birds outside. They're very loud today!

We have nothing much planned, other than laundry and washing up last night's pots. I might spend a couple of hours in the garden. The grass desperately needs a cut & the brambles that take over the front are creeping back.

I might fit in some crochet too. And I expect the girls will spend a fair bit of the day Minecrafting. Dd2 wants to do some experiments so we might do one of those.

Steak for tea, I think, with chips and onion rings. I'll probably have a glass or two of wine as well.

What's everyone else up to? :)

Got up at 8 and sorted the kids out. Cleaned out the hamsters then had a shower. Cut the grass and going to a soft play this afternoon. Kids are very excited about this.. But the sun is out and I'd rather not.
Hope the weather stays good for the half term!

DS has been frazzling me since he got up (ADHD). Missing late DH who was great with him when he was like this…

DD is alternately trampolining in the garden and creating Draw with Rob pictures. I’m hiding in the garden for a bit before Peter Rabbit 2 at the cinema followed by dinner with our bubble family, which will be lovely.

A very lazy and cold day here in lockdown Melbourne.
Will just potter around the house and play games with DC. Omelettes for lunch and homemade pizza for dinner. Yummy

Dh went to the gym at 8am, kids were up early.

I slept in till 9am, got up & sorted kitchen then took in Tesco delivery.

DH got home and mowed both the lawns. We had lunch and are going to head round to the local pub soon.

Oh, and I sorted out the hallway cupboard & packed away spare bedding. We're moving house soon, fingers crossed (hurry up solicitors) so I'm trying to organise a little bit.

Hayfever has given me a sore throat and feel a bit shitty with it so wont stay out for long at the pub. Weirdly, my 8yo DD is more excited about the pub then us?

I'm in my favourite place in the whole world: the summerhouse in my garden with a cup of tea whilst listening to the birds, the neighbours and some music.

same as other Saturdays, volunteering, errands, pondering what & how to declutter, ignoring the housework, trying to catch up on admin jobs!!

But with bonus of blazing sunshine :). I swear every single neighbour is lawn mowing today.

DH & DS will be back from big sport event soonish. I'll cycle with Big DS over to his evening job, soon.

Sitting in hospital waiting for a cystoscopy - who knew they even did appointments on Saturdays! Not the most fun for a bank holiday weekend, but needs must and all that.

Ninkanink · 29/05/2021 15:31

We made a quiche and a banana cake and a little tomato and courgette tart (with the leftover pastry), then we walked to town to buy two lots of paint - white for the bathroom and a pale green for the exterior masonry on the house. We also bought cushions for the garden chairs.

We came home and had the tart and dressed lettuce leaves for lunch with a glass of beer. Later we will have ice cream, and, later still, gin and tonics.

Right now I’m on MN (obviously) whilst DH is preparing the lamb for dinner - a tandoori marinade. Later we will grill the lamb with veg on skewers and have it with raita and huge naan breads.

It’s the first day of glorious sunshine we’ve had this summer. 😊😊

Just chilling. Single mum with a toddler here. We got back from a four night caravan holiday yesterday for her second birthday and I'm knackered! Supposed to be slowly unpacking and getting the fridge restocked for the week but keep stopping to lie down and look on my phone. DD has been watching YouTube all day. Feel like I'm missing out on the sunshine but hopefully it will last a few more days at least!

I saw my Nan for the first time since last March - my mum drove her up to my house to meet my DS (7 weeks) Smile

Now DH has taken DS out for a walk and I'm in bed!

We’re on a weekend away, my son is with his grandma for the bank holiday weekend. Me and my husband are in Yorkshire in our camper, apparently its nap time right now, we have a twilight spa session later, tomorrow we might be going to the coast, it just depends if we can be bothered.

MrsDThomas · 29/05/2021 17:34

Went food shopping and came home as quick as I could. Too many visitors here. Traffic everywhere and i was glad to come home. Just been for a 7 mile walk and saw absolutely no one.

Just the way i like it.

Spent today looking after mum, doing some gardening ( am building a rockery) and lazing in the sun watching the tadpoles in the pond. Pasta salad for tea as cant be arsed cooking really.

riotlady · 29/05/2021 17:56

Spent the morning lounging around, watching tv, playing with play dough and reading with DD. Chicken for lunch and then we spent most of the afternoon in the garden. DH has gone to work so I’ll be on my own with the telly tonight :)
