How to get dental help for child on holiday in cornwall? or anitbitics etc

My 8 year old has an issue with her teeth I was hoping the dentist would help us and maybe give us a script to use if needed. She didnt and said swill with salt water and keep an eye on it.
Now that was wednesday and my daughter is saying it hurts and asks for salt water all the time.

What do we do if we are down in cornwall and she needs to be seen? How does it work please because the hospital is an hour away from us down there?

Anyone know?

Oraldene mouthwash can be used from 6yrs onwards and might help the infection? £5 from Boots etc. Also there are a couple of gels that you could look at, maybe gengiegel? If you’ve a chemist nearby they maybe able to help?

(Not a chemist or dentist - had to gen up on mouth pain relievers when a wisdom tooth was playing up!) recommend oralgel but for 12years and up unfortunately.

Emergency dental although be warned it won’t be straight away.
Where are you in Cornwall?

@DoubleTweenQueen

There are emergency dentists! - as I found out when I was visiting Devon and DD broke a front tooth, exposing the pulp. We were seen early the following morning in a clinic not too far away - patched up with a clean and temporary filling which did her until we could get to our home dentist. Look up local dentists to where you are in Cornwall, and ring their emergency number?
Covid has changed lots of things....dental treatment in particular ....OP will not be able to access an emergency nhs dentist away from her home address anymore

I'll look into anti septic gel unfortunately it was dh who was sent to the the appointment and he's quite shy so I'm not sure he impressed upon them that we are away.

@Kitkat151 You're absolutely right - apologies - brain fog and momentary self-preservation amnesia, clearly.
