What's your DD's hairstyle - how did you decide?

DD is two next month, if it wasn't for the lockdowns we would have had her first haircut ages ago. She now has a lot of hair and I'm finding it hard to decide what cut to go for.

With DS it was easy, he had it trimmed until he was about two and then had the sides cut short "like daddy".

DD's hair is past her shoulders and falls in loose waves/ringlets. It's honestly beautiful and I'm terrified of ruining it. I think she likes it - as much as she can when it needs brushing every day. I'm seeing a lot of short Bob styles which would be easier to deal with. It feels like a big decision!! Help!

My DD is 8 now, she had similar hair at that age and she’s still super curly! She wanted it longer when she was little, she wanted hair long enough to “do an Elsa plait” but then she cut it herself 🤦🏻‍♀️ she had it in a long Bob (shoulder length) for a long time, easy to manage but long enough to tie back in bunches/ponytail. It’s got long with lockdown. She’s getting it cut next week, I’m trying to persuade her to have some length off it because it tangles so much with being curly!

Be wary of a bob, we found DD's bob a pain in the arse, she hates that it got in her face, we were always clipping it back, losing the clips and god, the nits, she was a magnet. DD refused point blank to have her hair cut again for years. It was easiest at about armpit length, would fit in pig tails/plaits, yet not long enough to tangle badly. Worst was bum length, it would mat even if sleeping in plaits and nit treating was traumatic.

My dd didn’t have her first haircut until she was about 7. It was beautiful (still is despite her straightening and curling all the time). Like yours she had gorgeous curls but as they’ve gradually been trimmed they’ve never come back.
