Any Man Utd fans on here? Feeling nervous.

Just glad we weren’t depending on winning that to get a Champion’s League place.
De Gea should’ve been subbed in extra time when it looked like going to penalties, Dean Henderson has a better record at saving them.
And where to begin with Rashford....

I love Ole, as a player he’s given me the best memories, and I’ve always defended him - a lot - but some of his decision making and game plans are indefensible at times and I think he got a lot wrong last night.

(For the record, I’m a season ticket holder at Old Trafford).

MadisonAvenue you've just said pretty much word for word what my husband said!

I agree De Gea should have been subbed - not because he missed, but because he isn’t a good pen stopper.

More generally I think Ole has done well this season. 2nd in the premier league and the europa league final - I think that’s doing well with the players he has got.

I’m not saying Ole gets everything right, he doesn’t. He’s inexperienced and has much to learn. But I don’t think anyone can really say the outcomes this season amount to under performing for the squad of players he has.

It's really brave to sub in a keeper just for the penalty shoot out. I remember when Louis van Gaal did it in the World Cup and it was an audacious move then. You look like a hero if it works but it's a huge amount of pressure to heap on one man and if he came on and performed as De Gea did on the shoot out we'd all be blaming Ole for it.

Football has never been hockey or American football where you train up players to be brought on for their one moment in the spotlight.

We've gone to pieces since the protest to be honest. Form has crumbled as if they players have suddenly realised that they had too many games in a short period and they couldn't manage it. That rearranged fixture seems to have been a turning point. No fire or fight in them.
