In need of recommendations of good reads that catch your attention from the off.
Recently I have enjoyed reading Holocaust memoirs, detective type books such as D.S Butler, autobiographies.
I am happy to branch out to other genres though as I am not to fussy.

I've read both the Tattooist of Auschwitz and Cilka's Journey.
I'll take a look at the other 2 though.
I do love a real life/true story read.

If you love true stories check out Ingrid Bethancourt's story of being kidnapped by the FARQ . Gripping.

Also i could not put down david ebershoff's The 19th Wife. So good.
