What's the going rate for teenager to feed cat?

We are going away for a few days next week and were wondering about asking the 15 year old next door if he'd like to earn a bit of cash by feeding our cats morning and evening.

Anyone able to advise what the going rate is please. We were thinking £2 a feed (so £4 a day) but genuinely have no idea whether that's reasonable. Its basically pop in, pick up post, say hello to cats, feed them and wash out bowls from previous feed and lock up again. I can't see it taking more than 5-10 minutes a time door to door if that .

If your teen does this what are they paid?

When my son was 10 we did for a friend. It was a 5 min drive.
I did because she was a good friend. But she gave ds £20 and a huge bag of American sweets.

Our neighbours paid £40 for dd to look after their cat for 5/6 days. She had to feed him twice a day, pick up any dead animals that he brought into the house (thankfully he didn'tGrin) and put the bins out.

When she agreed to do it, she didn't expect to get paid, so the £40 in an envelope was a nice surprise!Grin
