I have never sold a car privately before and omg I've had it after a week. Last weekend someone says they will be with me at 11 am, they're travelling 50 miles, great wait in for them, end up waiting until 12pm, message them to ask if they're lost. They reply "sorry, can't come now as couldn't get a lift" wtf why not message me at 11am when I was expecting you and you were sat at home? All week I've had messages from people making stupid offers etc. Finally spoke to someone on the phone who wanted to come up tomorrow with cash, this was arranged Wed. He seemed legit, said he would msg today to arrange times and nothing, radio silence. I have about another 3 or 4 interested. Please tell me how to work this now. Shall I say please ring before you are leaving to see if the car is still available, I'm reluctant to arrange specific days and times as I'll miss out again.

Damn I thought you had found some knickers to help with a spare tyre around the middle!

Is there a car auction near you that you can stick it in OP? that's what I did last time and I have found a small local garage that would sell it from their forecourt in return to a cut before

What I mean by proper morals is if someone actually says they are coming at an actual time, for example this morning and then they don't turn up of even let you know they're not coming. Its rude. It doesn't take much to tell someone they have changed their mind, a few seconds!
Ah, ok. I thought you were criticizing those of us suggesting first come, first served. Which would be a moral position.

Lack of politeness/courtesy from no-shows is unfortunately just part of selling a vehicle privately. It's very much a Seller's game. The Buyers are all trying to race to see a vehicle before it's sold. So they'll try and arrange as many viewings as possible, and may end up buying the one they see before yours and get caught up with the payment and transfer/insurance/tax documentation.

The Buyers side is relatively easy, advertise and go with first come, first served. Either accept, haggle or reject each offer you get individually. Most Buyers will assume you've added a bit to the price you really want to negotiate down to.
