Have you bought yourself something nice lately that you would recommend?

Looking for inspiration, but honestly don't know where to start!

Perfume recommendations especially welcome! Wink

Deep Tissue Massage that I will be enjoying on Saturday. Chinese hotpot with my friend after that.

I selfishly and egotistically will hand over my 9 month old to my DP on Saturday so that he may look after him 😁

Yes. After being redundant last year, I have a new job and I badly needed to add to my work wardrobe.
I've bought two sweaters, some jeans, some linen crop trousers, t-shirts and a pair of celtic knot silver earrings. I haven't spent a huge amount but after a bleak year, it's bliss. Smile

New bath robe next.

NotMiranda · 19/05/2021 20:58

These earrings - all my hair's come out due to chemo, so I wanted something bold to wear with turbans!

Theatre tickets for myself and my daughter and a ticket to see Gregory Porter at the Albert Hall for myself.

A Skinnytan set

YES ! today for the first time in over a year I walked into a shop (just opened on Monday) - a pottery. Looked around. Spoke to the owner. Chose something by a favourite potter which I will use daily and will be a pleasure (£10). First truly pleasurable purchase just a treat for so long. Felt like a glimmer of normality returning.

HeronLanyon · 19/05/2021 21:03

notmiranda have sibling in similar situation. Will forward those - they look great for turban accompaniment. Good luck. Sibling had all clear just yesterday after truly awful surgery/chemo six months. Support.

Yes! I’ve just signed up for a seasonal scents subscription box from the Perfume Society. You get 8 trial sizes of different seasonal scents every quarter from big names with some info about each. The spring box arrived today and it’s brilliant. Would highly recommend!

@BillGigolo

Sylvaine Delacourte and Walden perfume discovery sets. I definitely do not need more perfume but I love it and discovery sets are a pretty inexpensive way for me to indulge! I also may be buying some orange blossom scented pencils Grin

@Flappityflippers1 exclusively pumping - you are a heroine and deserve all the treats, woman.

Ooooh orange blossom scented pencils sound very much like something I never knew I needed!

I have just received a large uniqlo order (all sales stuff) so that’s my treat.

I also got a sample of Versace Dylan perfume and it is surprisingly nice - probably not a brand I would have even tried and a sample of Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide capsules which are so expensive I wouldn’t buy them but they do seem to make an overnight difference to my fine lines.

Thanks Heron! They do them in several other colours too - pink, green, pearl and black. Possibly others but those I've seen.
EBearhug · 19/05/2021 22:35

Silk pyjamas.

LookToTreblesGoingTreblesGone · 19/05/2021 22:38

A beekeeping course. And the outfit to go with it 😁

carlywurly · 19/05/2021 22:50

Linen bedding.

BillGigolo · 19/05/2021 22:56

@Brogues the orange blossom scented pencils are from the Libraries and Archives Paper Co in Edinburgh and they do other scents too, like lavender. I warn you though, that site is heaving with beautiful stationery and related items, a bloody death trap Grin

Monsteraobliqua · 19/05/2021 23:15

Silk pyjamas, some silk undies sets and a gorgeous vintage sundress in case the sun comes out for any length of time. Oh and a big bottle of Elasticiser.

penni00 · 20/05/2021 00:58

Started collecting this treat. Freezer full of loads and loads of different types of ice creams. (Wish I could have got a freezer where an ice cream van tune plays when opening freezer door!)

TheNestedIf · 20/05/2021 02:01

I bought a "Royal Blue Doulton With The Hand-Painted Periwinkles" cup, saucer and side paint. Probably not going to drink or eat from them. It's enough just to be amused that I own them.

TheNestedIf · 20/05/2021 02:01

*plate, not paint.

CosmicComfort · 20/05/2021 06:08

Some glorious wooden crochet hooks and some more yarn.

AuntieMarys · 20/05/2021 06:12

Byredo Mojave Ghost perfume.
I love Byredo

MinnieMountain · 20/05/2021 06:20

Where did pp get your silk pyjamas from? I’ve often thought of getting them but not sure where to get good quality ones.

Brogues · 20/05/2021 06:32

@BillGigolo that’s where I ended up last night after a google search!

Nevermind21 · 20/05/2021 06:37

A smart toothbrush- game changer!

Mummadeze · 20/05/2021 06:50

I am moving house so I treated myself to new biscuit, coffee, tea, sugar jars. Also, several new prints and frames. Pictures include some vintage 20s Vogue covers which are lovely and some paintings of Art Deco buildings in Miami which was one of my favourite ever holiday destinations.

Amrapaali · 20/05/2021 09:02

Sunk nearly 100 quid at TK Maxx yesterday. Lotions, potions, soaps, a linen tshirt...loved every bit I picked up. Felt like many liittle treats bundled together.

To be fair TK Maxx is my Achilles Heel
