How dangerous is a leaked battery

Was tidying up the kids toys storage last night and noticed something wet eventually found it was batteries that had leaked from one of those little hand fans, it wasn't corroded crystal stuff it was the clear liquid like the battery had been damaged or something.
Because I didn't realise it was from the battery i touched it then touched everything else trying to find what it was and before noticing it i put some toys from the too back into the toy boxes.
At first I couldn't find where it was coming from so I do God knows what reason kicked my finger and it really burned my tounge (honestly I know how stupid and gross that was!) which is when I thought to check for batteries but do I need to throw all the toys away?? I have no idea what toys it could have got on because I was doing it mindlessly and there was so much junk on there. I think I put stuff from near the leaked battery on the dining table too whilst sorting through it all I have no idea how to make sure it's safe, because it was clear I can't see it. Both my kids still out everything jn their mouths despite being 4 and 7 so I'm really worried of any residue is on the toys at all

It would be a good idea to wipe down the toys in the immediate vicinity of the fan in case the battery acid transferred onto other surfaces, but you don’t need to throw everything away.

If you don’t know exactly what it touched then give everything a wipe; but it won’t have gotten into non-porous materials.

Thanks does anyone know how dangerous it is of I've touched it then touched something like the door handle? Then one of the kids touches a door handle is that enough for it to be dangerous? I've wiped them but I don't know!

I am not an expert but I would be very surprised if a contact trace ie on a door handle was enough to do harm. Like others said wipe down the toy and anything it leaked directly onto.
