Sent PR gifts to celebrities?

I have just started my own croc customising business and I am looking to send out some PR gifts to see if I can give my business a boost! People like Mrs Hinch or Stacy Soloman and the like.

Do I message them on Instagram or do I have to go through their agent?

Do they wear crocs? Have you seen them pictured with them? U know crocs are having a moment, fashion-wise.

I haven't seen them in them, no, it I think what I do would appeal to them and their followers though.

Giovanni Fletcher wears them, maybe try her?!

When it's a genuine celeb, you usually have to PAY them to advertise your product when you are an unknown.

Only very minor "celeb" think a free item is enough to advertise it.

Don't they expect to be paid to promote brands though? I would think this very hard for a small business.

It is. With 'known' celebs especially it can be quite expensive for you! Are there any craft markets near you, even seasonal ones? A friend of mine makes cracked Japanese cups/bowls and what she did initially was to get a booth at a craft fair, have her website/Etsy URL printed on business cards, and have everything all nicely set up. She sold a decent number of pieces, went home, and got some more orders from friends of people who had purchased her wares. From there, she was able to 'target' niche/small instagrammers (whose fees are cheaper) whose audiences were likely to purchase her products. She gradually gained more name recognition from her next few craft fairs, which ultimately translated too to more consistent sales on her website throughout the year. Maybe you could do something like that?

So maybe stick to people with less followers then!! I'm happy to send out a few freebies to the right people if they will put it in their social media, but I am not going to pay them to do it.

Deffo food for thought, thank you Smile
