11 week old advice needed 😣

Hiya.
First time mum syndrome! My LG has decreased feeds - was draining 180ml bottles, I did increased feeds but then didn't take barely any so decreased 🙄 and now takes anywhere between 60mls to draining. I have tried gentle encouragement - she demand feeds. I just noticed her feeds are decreased. I thought she was teething but from a few posts and rude Dr apparently she can't be - dribbling so much she's soaked at times, chewing my finger off, and slight rosey cheeks and chin. FYI she loves a cold dummy...... 🤔 But not teething 🤷🏼‍♀️ is this true? When shud I be worried about feed reduction? Oh and my little one is very long and like 6kg at last weigh in - averages 600 too 800mls a day. Some days she much prefers to have her dummy then be fed - she will scream at me if she doesn't want her feed.
I'm the night she has been shuffling and rubbing ears like she wants to sleep but is in a light sleep. I get up and feed her at this point, as she will not stop and generally will settle after a nappy change and a feed. A lot of people in my support group says I shud wait until she whimpers/ crys? But I feed her - eyes wide open and wants a nappy change and settles from me picking her up to sleep within an hour in general. So what do I do feed her? Leave her? She only does one feed a night in general unless very unsettled night. She is swaddled under arms - doesn't like her arms in. It drives her crazy if arms are swaddled.
Also her bowel movements are paste like edging towards being loose at times - is this normal? Sometimes there are pea shaped bits in it. She only has one a day and it's usually very large bowel movement. Which has been like that since she was born.
Think that's all my questions at the moment. I wud ask the hv or Dr. But they aren't seeing anyone at the moment and getting an appointment is like waiting for Christmas 😂

I would probably feed at night too as if you say she settles after it.

I think she probably needs between 150ml and 200ml of formula per kg a day so that's 900, so slightly under but if she is producing lots of wet nappies and gaining weight then that's fine. How often does she feed? I think my dd had a bottle around every 2 hours at that stage.

Bowel movement should be loose, maybe pale brown or yellow. Once a day is fine.

She could be teething, why do you think she isn't? Or she might have found her fingers and just be a bit dribbly, but certainly my dd got teeth by this point.

I would absolutely say she is teething. The teeth move around under the guns quite sometime before actually protruding. She is rubbing her ears and dribbling. The saliva during teething becomes more acidic which can effect bowels too and nappy rash etc. Have you tried a teething powder? Not sure on age you may need to wait until 12 weeks/ 3 months. But absolutely not too early to expect teething symptoms at 11 weeks.

Babies would need night feeds til much older wouldn't they? It is normal as babies get more alert in the day to feed more at night.

Dummies interfere with feeding, maybe don't use that.

This definitely sounds like teething - I'd you're bottle feeding, perhaps put the teat in the fridge so when it's time for a feed it soothes her gums. If you think feeding before she whimpers helps her settle then keep doing it. There's no point waiting for her to get upset before feeding her, she'll be feeding at night time for a while yet. I also used to keep a few damp flannels or teething rings in the fridge to whip out out for my DD to chew on about 10 mins before she was due a feed which helped her get her food down. The things to look out for in terms of dehydration - she needs plenty of wet nappies in the day, if she's not weeing much you need to take her back to the GP. If she were dehydrated she'd also have dry lips and tongue and the soft spots on her head would be sunken. Just keep and eye on her but hound the GP (or see a different one) if you're worried at all.

Yep 99 percent yh she does settle. I change her every 2 to 3 hours in the day as she never liked too much of wet nappies - urine is straw like colour. She feeds every 3 to 4 hours in day, at night last feed between 7pm and 8pm and will go till between 1am to 4am most nights. I just get the once wake up, and she usually wakes between 6am to 730am. She has her 6 to 7 bottles in 24 hours. Yesterday for example she averaged 124mls per feed. Which is down. She is on 2nd flow teat now as she was getting frustrated with the first hitting bottle and such with 1st

I don't think she is teething now as Dr's basically said she can't be. Even pharmacist seemed to question me. She dribbly without doing anything to her mouth.

Technically not allowed to use as she is 11 weeks Monday and has to be 3 months old to use products. My old school HV said use it and see.... 🤔

If I don't give her dummy she screams at me and searches for it - usually use it for sleep. I do try a feed before the dummy - I'm sure the neighbours thought I was murdering her.

The thing is if I don't tend to her in the night she will keep doing it and doesn't cry hysterical for her feed 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I can't sleep if she doing all that. I think if I'm awake and she takes a feed she must be hungry specially as she is awake, once I pick her up.

I will try the cold teats! As she loves cold dummy. I tried teething rings. Wasn't a fan of that. Nope not dehydrated from what I can tell. Gets dry lips now and again but nothing I would be worried about as dissappears in couple hours.
