London Mums - things to do with babies?

Hi, my baby is now 10 months and due to Covid we've done nothing! Endless time at home playing and going for walks and no support bubble.

I'm emerging from the pandemic as a new mum and it still feels very new as we've not had a "normal" new Mum experience. We live in London and I'm now starting to look about and think about things we can do all day. Indoor stuff opening next week too.

Does anyone who lives in London have any tips for activities, half day stuff, ideas of what I can do with my baby to stave off the boredom and keep him engaged? We are East but pretty central.

When I lived in Croydon I used to like taking DS1 to Clapham Common paddling pool in the summer.

Baby yoga was my favourite baby class.

Have you got a children's centre near you? These are fab! Free (mostly) and you can sign up to classes and play groups etc.

I've shared lots of recommendations for babies in this post:

Also take a look at what's on with your local children's centre, and baby yoga was my favourite local activity when on mat leave - I made some friends I'm still in touch with 8 years later!

Museums are good for a potter around, and some have baby groups. London Docklands museum, museum of childhood did last time I checked.

Find your local children's centre which will have daily play sessions.

Westfield shopping, presumably the play bits will be open soon. Then stopping in John Lewis cafe for cake and a chat.

And of course you won't have experienced the delights of soft play yet! Grin

Museums, parks, cafes and libraries are your friend! Museum of Childhood and Geffrye Museum both great. Coram Fields.
