LED strip lighting under kitchen cabinetry

I need some advice on under cabinet lighting . We are having a new white high gloss kitchen with platinum quartz countertop.
The kitchen is fairly small 10sq metres and will be all white to maximise space.
I’m so confused with which under cabinet strip lighting to use . I want the lighting more for atmosphere and chose warm white for that reason. Now I’m wondering if I should have chosen cool white because I’m afraid the warm white will give a yellow hue off the units and white walls.
Any help, advice?

Can you go and look at them in a kitchen showroom? We were thinking we'd choose LED striplights instead of spotlights for ours but having seen them both in a showroom the LED ones did seem very cold and stark, a bit laboratory like.

Warm white is the right choice unless you want your kitchen to look like you are a dentists lab.
I wouldn't choose a cool white for a domestic setting in the U.K. , warm white led (3000K) is still a whiter brighter light than a conventional halogen spotlight bulb.
Cool white looks stark in the U.K. as we have a greyer tone to our daylight generally than countries further south.

Totally agree. We've got LED strip lighting under the wall units and can set to all sorts of colours (can even make them flash if you are pissed enough to want that!). I mostly have them set to white when I want the light to be useful, but set to other colours as well when the mood takes me.

Same for plinth lights. All of this wasn't much more expensive than single colour lights.

Warm white is still white, not yellow. I'm sure it will be fine. Definitely better for atmosphere than cool white which, as PP says, looks like a dentist.

Does anyone ever use it? I've had it there for 20 years. All I ever do with it is clean the grease off and reaffix the wires when they come off because of the steam.

Definitely warm white for under the units, I've got white worktops and units and it looks warm and inviting not yellowy. I've got spots rather than led strips, much prefer them.
My ceiling lights are 3000k which is a warm white but on the cooler side of white, not the warmest available. It avoids making the room
look yellow.

@MusicMenu I use them all the time, I don't have any problems. And I do fry food frequently although I don't have a deep fat fryer, steam isn't a problem as I use my cooker hood.

I have a high gloss white kitchen, we have warm white under cupboard lighting. It was definitely the right choice.

Use ours every day. I'm a seriously early riser to get medication and using the kitchen at 3am, I just put the LEDs on. More than enough light to make coffee and potter around.

I'll use them in the evening too , but like to mess around with the colours then. If the fancy takes us, we'll mess around and set them to flash along with music.

I really need to get out more!!

Thanks you all.
It needs to be strip lighting because it’s handleless . I didn’t get the option of changing lights. The company offered cool white or warm white.
I agree it would look like a dentist’s room which is why I chose warm white but I’m just worried it will make the cabinets look yellowish.
Has anyone got white gloss with warm white lights?
I didn’t like the cool white in the showroom on the white units. They didn’t have warm white on white cabinets.
Kitchens are so stressful so many considerations to make.

Great advice I’ll stick with the warm white phew! I’ve made so many changes I was afraid to ring them back and change the lights, now I don’t need to. Smile
