I have a week off, nothing to do and it's going to rain all week. Ideas

I decided to pretend I'm going on a wet caravan holiday and I'm a bored three year old that needs constant entertainment.
I'm going in to town today to buy supplies.
My list so far
Books
Colouring book and pens
Embroidery (I have a subscription kit that should come Monday I think).
New pjs

Has anyone got any other idea of things I can do to pass the time in an enjoyable way, I'm very stressed at the moment due to teens and don't want to spend the week getting more and more stressed.
I was originally planning lots of garden meet ups with friends and lots of outdoor time but it doesn't look like that is going to be an option.

Get wellies for you both and wet suit for the dc, you a big rain coat and visit a farm with animals to feed.

When you get back home maybe bath soak/spa, yummy food for after and watch a film.

@ditavonteesed as so many people don’t appear to be able to read you may be better off restarting this thread without mentioning 3 year olds ! I’m going to spend the afternoons this week riding an exercise bike very slowly whilst watching the Giro on TV , nice Italian scenery and it’s got to be doing me some good . I’m starting tomorrow as today is a time trial so the same scenery repeatedly .

I'd do yoga every day, walk and run, watch some TV and knit, clothes shop, do some jigsaws while listening to music, have a clear out. Basically all the stuff I was planning to do in my first few weeks of mat leave before DS2 showed up early and buggered it all...

That sounds really lovely actually. Can I send you my 3 and 6yos for the week?

Make up tutorials on ytube - practice a few different faces
Madfit does dance based cardio routines that are fun
Call people you never get time to speak to
Curate your wardrobe - cull stuff you don’t wear, put together some outfits and work out what you need to buy
Create a dance play list and dance round the house

If you have a week with nothing to do, then do nothing.
When will you get this chance again.
The opportunity may not come again for ages.

Go on an aimless daytime train journey, just for the fun of being on a train and looking out of the window. Buy yourself a treat them get back on and come home before you get too tired.

As I'm dashing about my day OP, I'm hoping you're planning a lovely relaxed day Thanks.

ditavonteesed · 10/05/2021 11:09

Excellent suggestions thanks, I started with a lovely long walk. Now I'm having breakfast before I go to pick up a cable drum to make a garden table. My embroidery kit came, I started it last night but not happy with it so need to pick it and start again. Have a pile of books and a load of pampery stuff. Relaxation here I come.

How is it going OP?

I squeezed in a massage this afternoon- it was lovely.

Hope you're having a lovely week off
