My toddler's been playing alone for over an hour. Is this normal?

My 22 month old has been playing in his playroom alone for over an hour. It's completely safe in there and I'm right outside so I know he's OK.

Is it normal that he's happy to play alone for this long? It feels like a quite a long time but I don't know any other children his age so I've no idea if it's normal.

My son very similar and will probably be our one and only. It’s great! One nanny at a party said he was ‘cool’. Just made his own fun and joined in when it looked particularly interesting. Enjoy :)

My DS is 3 and has just recently started pottering about on his own. I can hear him chatting away. It actually makes me feel really guilty as I feel like I need to interact with him constantly but I’ve been told repeatedly that’s it’s good for him and his imagination. I do jobs around the house while he’s busy to make myself feel productive!

so lucky, don’t disturb him and enjoy. DD absolutely will not play independently, I’m knackered.
