I need help, but what to ask for?

Ideally, me and partner need a week off, with someone to look after kids so that we can get shit done. We both have a 14 hour day with work or kids. We can sometimes work it out so that one of us showers, cooks, loads dishwasher, hangs a wash out etc during that time. We need to declutter, tidy, clean with some proper time available. We need help!! What help do we ask for? We cannot afford childcare and not working. I need someone who can come in regularly and help us ... do the ongoing basic stuff like laundry, kitchen, to free up our time to crack some of the other stuff out. Alternatively, someone who is flexible that can do varied things differing each week - tidy, clean out the fridge, put laundry away, deep clean a room. We basically need to someone to just help us with shit that needs to be done. If someone can help in evening, that would help too! What do I advertise for? I've read threads on here that have cleaners throwing their hands up in horror if there are a couple of mugs left in the sink! I definitely need someone non-judgemental who can help us get to a better place.

I assume you are entitled to paid holiday time. Book a week off work. Leave the kids to go their school/daycare. Blitz the worst of what needs doing, declutter etc. Then once organised get a cleaner if you can afford to or draw up a strict schedule if you can't

We have a baby. Self employed. Sorry to drip feed.

You could hire a Declutterer to start with - get the bulk done. Declutterers are a thing. I am sure you will find a local one on Facebook or somewhere.

I have a lady who collects my ironing and brings it back the following day (I still do the washing). That might relieve the load a little.

Is it a better use of money to pay for someone to do this, or would you rather do it yourself? If you're self employed how much would you lose if you each took a week off?

You need a 'cleaner/housekeeper'

When we both worked full time, we had one. It was heavenly. She did WHATEVER needed doing but not ironing!

So:
Washing clothes
Tidying
Putting clothes away
Loading/unloading dishwasher
Feeding cats/cat tray
Feeding kids
Wrapping presents at Xmas/birthdays
Cleaning
Whatever happened to need doing!

You need a teenager who wants to earn pocket money. I did this when I was a late teen. Started off doing ironing for a family who then asked that I did housework, gardening, babysitting, shopping, even decorating!

That does sound like heaven!!
