What’s the most rubbish prize you have ever won?

Following on from the thread where people won millions, what was your crappiest prize?

Mine was probably a crate of Fosters. Couldn’t even give it away.

DH won The Corrs Greatest Hits CD once. It went straight in the charity pile.

A football signed by the Celtic team. I have zero interest in football. I gave it to a friend for her younger brother, who was thrilled.

I won a football signed by the England team during Italia 90.

Flogged it to my brother for a tenner (you could buy a lot with £10 in 1990!) and it's still one of his prized possessions. I wonder if it's worth more than £10 now?

Just remembered a friend won “a year’s supply of ice cream” but then they delivered all of it to her on one day, so she suddenly got about a 100 big tubs, all the same flavour, which of course didn’t fit in her freezer. She drove them down to the local primary school and just gave them to families coming out in the afternoon. About 3 years later she walked past the school at going home time and got mobbed by small children shouting that “the ice cream lady is here!”.

One of those stupid vouchers to have a family photo taken, in a school raffle. Where the voucher is just for the shoot and you still have to pay for the pictures. It’s not a prize, it’s a promotion! I know you sometimes get one free in those deals, but I’m pretty sure it didn’t even entitle you to that. Never did it, knew it would be a massive hassle.

I agree. When I was on the school PTA I always refused the offers of these as raffle prizes.

DH and I went on a Porsche club weekend years ago. We won the booby prize for coming last in the treasure hunt. The prize was a toy Porsche car. I did the walk of shame to graciously accept it! We gave it to a nephew.
