I’m starting week 3 here. I’m usually healthy early 40s and shellshocked.

I’m definitely improving but I still can’t quite keep my temp down, I feel dizzy and exhausted and I have no appetite. I’m getting nosebleeds and an upset stomach.

Please give me some hope this will pass soon I don’t think I can take much more.

I had covid in December. I had it “mildly” however I still have hardly any energy. You WILL be ok. I know it feels rough but you will get better xx

RJnomore1 · 03/05/2021 13:26

Oh bless you, thank you. I hope you get back to normal soon. It’s a horrible disease.

It does get better!
It took me 3 weeks to get out of bed though and I'm still off work at nearly 6 weeks due to breathless and fatigue.

I think the biggest thing is that you hear about very mild cases or the extremes of hospital/ICU. If you are unlucky to get a moderate case like it sounds you have and I had it really does flaw you!

It will start improving slowly but surely just get as much rest as possible and try not to over push it! I don't think I've ever been as ill or taken as long to recover from something!

You must rest rest rest whenever you can - hope you are signed off from work.

Speak to your GP about it now and then if it continues you will hopefully be seen more quickly. After four weeks you are officially 'long covid'.

I had a headache that I thought was one of my usual hormonal ones. But it didn't go away. I did a random test at work and it came back positive. Was a bit tired and my chest felt tight and tickly. It was an odd feeling. But got over it pretty quickly. I am in the shielding category. But didn't bother to shield as I live on my own and just could t face it. Glad I didn't. I felt worse after my vaccination!

I had the nosebleeds too! No upset stomach but weirdly a lot of indigestion.

I had no appetite so just drank lots of juice and sweet tea, even if you can only eat something small like sweets, it'll give you a boost of energy.

Rest as much as possible, I'm 4 months out of it now and have only felt back to normal for the last month. 2 months of exhaustion though (I have Chronic Fatigue anyway but this is tiredness I have never felt before)

Plenty of paracetamol and fluids to help with the temp. Hopefully you get to a better patch soon and perk up a bit. Sending good thoughts and well wishes xx

Thank you. I’m really glad someone else has the nosebleeds too they were starting to worry me.

Just wanted to wish you well @RJnomore1, I hope you feel better soon. We’ve managed to avoid it (shielded) but a close friends family had varying degrees and it took a few weeks for the least affected to feel back to normal and she was early 20s and healthy.

DramaAlpaca · 03/05/2021 20:13

Sorry you're feeling so rough @RJnomore1. It sounds really nasty. Hope you start to feel better very soon Flowers
