... and just buggered off. I have tried to catch it to lob it in the garden but no luck. For the record the cat despises me so I am certain this was done on purpose.

My little boy cat used to bring me live mice if I was in bed Ill. I assume he was worried nobody was feeding me.

@fedup51

Similar to someone else above... Cat left me a lovely present of dead mouse in my sipper. First I knew about it was getting up for work at 5am sliding my foot into my slipper and quelch! Queue hysterics whilst still half asleep trying to comprehend what was going on.
This is at truly awful scenario- I hope DCat does not read MN as she may up her game. She just about tolerates my presence as I provide food but has been sulking since adult DS (who she adored) moved to his own flat a couple of weeks ago

Ours did that and it lived under the sofa in the playroom for some considerable time. I’m marking the welly trick for when if it happens again.

Our cat brought in a live mouse last week. AFAIK it's still behind a boxed in area behind the tvShock
Weve put a humane trap down at the exit of the area we believe it's in but hasnt made an appearance for several days!Confused
Bloody cats.thry always kill birds and leave them under the table as presents but bring live mice in, and then lose interest! This is the first time (that I know of!) I havent caught it though!

@Justdowhatyouweretold

We were woken at 6am with birds on our roof going mad. Heard a load thud!

The bloody cat 2 mins later was in the kitchen with a bloody magpie. Luckily still alive so I left the doors and windows open for it to fly away.

It was huge! And he isn't a big cat at all.

They're bloody massive when they're in your house, aren't they!!

Mine brought in a magpie too, it really wasn't best pleased about it. The cat next door to my parents house has brought in many rabbits, a pheasant and was once caught trying to drag a seagull through the cat flap.

I slept for at least two years with a dead mouse under my bed. I shifted the bed to vacuum properly for the arrival of a new bed and found a mummified collection of skin and fur.
