If you could visit anywhere in England, where would you go?

Just that really.
With the lockdown ending, I would like to explore more of England- are there any gems that you recommend? I have a 5yr old.
Thank you!

York. I’ve not been for years, but I really can’t wait to visit again.

I also recomend the Isle of Wight, lots to do in a compact area. Loads of good child friendly beaches. Plus the excitement for a 5 year old of the ferry crossing.

Scilly Isles is on my list of UK places to go but I've not yet made it. I wouldn't try this year (probably.too late anyway) but hope to go in next few years. Been to most of the UK and some of my favourite places are Exmoor, Pembrokeshire, West Coast of Scotland. Also have a soft spot for the Lake District but nowadays is too busy...

Isle of Wight also a favourite. Like PP said..really exciting going across on the ferry and it's such a lovley place.especially SW part which is more remote and quiet.

I love Swanage area and Isle of Wight. Both fab for walking too.

However for a 5 year old... have you been to Peppa Pig/Paultons park? Longleat?

I think I'm sold on Carding mill valley! Looks ideal for my autistic 2 year old who loves walking up and down hills and chucking stones in water!
