We've just booked a long weekend on the coast for September and I'm bloody thrilled! Can cancel until a few days before, so not too worried.

What holiday fun do you have coming up?

Theredjellybean it's not so much what's happening in the UK, it's what may be happening in your intended destination.

takemetomiami · 01/05/2021 07:08

We are away this week in the uk and have a week booked in isle of wight later this summer, plus a few days in Devon. We will book something for sept as well but undecided where.

WorriedMillie · 01/05/2021 07:09

We’ve booked short things- a couple of days in Wales over half term (DD and me) and 2 long weekends in Somerset (also with OH)

We’ve also booked a week in Northumberland in August, which I’m really looking forward to

May try and do Center Parcs in Oct, or maybe Disneyland Paris

And then hoping to ski next season (fingers crossed)

megletthesecond · 01/05/2021 07:09

We never go on holiday. Just stay with family in the south west.
Will hopefully make it in August.

Checkingout811 · 01/05/2021 07:12

Greece in July
A few UK weekend breaks dotted around between June-September
Just booked yesterday to take the DC to Lapland in December! Really can’t wait, they’ll love it!

EasterIssland · 01/05/2021 07:15

10 days to Spain in July (I’ll be visiting my family)
Planning on booking (accommodation is booked but need to get the flights) 2 weeks to Iceland in September

@hughbert totally agree.

LudoBear
Fuck me can I have your job if you can afford that many exotic holidays!

No job, retired, decent pensions and other income, no mortgage, non smokers. Not much spent on holidays last year apart from the family ski trip and cruise to the Arctic, both luckily before COVID struck.

Thirtyrock39 · 01/05/2021 08:29

Supposed to be Greece in July
I don't want to go but rest of the family do
Got horrible feeling we won't know one way or the other till about a week before with all the weekly reviews of traffic light countries
Just want to know one way or the other and would honestly prefer a week closer to home but think will probably find out last minute and then not be able to book anywhere in uk if it doesn't get green listed

LBOCS2 · 01/05/2021 09:15

A family week in Devon over the summer.

Glamping with friends for a long weekend in August.

Fuerteventura for a week in October half term. That's the one I'm not holding my breath about tbh! We've already moved the flights twice - we'll just have to play it by ear.

Candleabra · 01/05/2021 09:22

@MsTSwift

Ludo what is Whitby like? We booked to go there can’t pretend wouldn’t rather be Greek island hopping
Whitby is gorgeous. And the surrounding area. We had a lovely few days there a couple of years ago.
Alakazam8 · 01/05/2021 09:22

Mainly short breaks this year

1 week in north Wales, in caravan. May half term

2 nights on Disney Cruise staycation in July
Dd doesn’t know- going to tell her a few days before. Have had to postpone Disneyland Paris 3 times now so this is to make up for that a bit. Hope to go next year...

3 nights in Keswick in August

Weekend in London in Sept- & seeing Frozen show

Hopefully staying with family for a week or so over the summer.

Zenithbear · 01/05/2021 09:31

South Coast UK for two weeks in July
Few days on the East Coast May
Lots of one and two nighters in our campervan all over - some to stay with friends
Weekends in our cottage
Couple of motorbike rallies
Med Cruise in November
Caribbean in January
Fingers crossed for everyone

midsomermurderess · 01/05/2021 09:43

I think TrickyD has won the lottery.

sansou · 01/05/2021 09:44

Half term - a few days visiting family in Yorkshire & the Cotswolds. Haven’t seen parents/ILS since last summer!
Week in July in Norfolk. Really looking forward to this! Cba with the hassle/stress of venturing abroad with negative tests/quarantine rules.
Nothing else - hoping for another few days away in August but I suspect little availability so day trips it is! Still have AirBNB credit to spend from last year’s cancellations that we need to use up.

PurplePinkParade · 01/05/2021 09:51

Weekend away in an Airbnb in May for DPs birthday.

Week in a Haven caravan April 2022. Smile

Due a baby in December and won't be booking anything abroad for a long time.

pollylocketpickedapocket · 01/05/2021 09:54

Cyprus in august, I’m pretty confident but I also have Cornwall booked at the same time, it can be cancelled two days before.
London at the beginning of august and Lapland for December.

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 01/05/2021 09:56

Nothing. Would like a break away but the prices are mental, esp for lone travellers

Twoforthree · 01/05/2021 10:01

We moved last years holiday abroad to this year, and have just moved it again to next year.
We have two separate weeks booked in the uk and a long weekend. I'm very much looking forward to them.

ChocOrange1 · 01/05/2021 10:01

Camping in the New Forest in May
Cornwall in June (staying with family)
Camping at a country park in July
Camping in the New Forest in August
Airbnb on Isle of Wight in October half term

QuitMoaning · 01/05/2021 10:01

Two centre break in June split between Devon and Somerset.
Staying in self catering lodges as I personally prefer self catering. Each location is fairly quiet with few other people about.
We may get to visit Italy later but we can do that on a whim as we have family property there.

TrickyD · 01/05/2021 10:15

@midsomermurderess

I think TrickyD has won the lottery.
Thank God for generous public service pensions. We moaned about the contributions and had to work hard but are reaping the benefit now.
