Hi so I'm looking for some reassurance or maybe someone in the same situation. I got my 1st dose of vovid vaccine moderna, and one week later I have terrible bouts of nausea and yep I'm pregnant. Only like 4 weeks pregnant I'd say. But I'm freaking out. Anyone? Thanks x

It’s safe in pregnancy.

It’s fine to have in pregnancy. My friend’s doctor made it a requirement for her to book her private c-section.

Article about this on radio 4 pm programme on Wednesday c5.20pm.

Basically, it's safe and there's good evidence from USA because they have been vaccinating pregnant women with moderna. Enjoy your new safer-from-Covid pregnancy.

I saw a tweet from a Dr the other day urging pregnant women to get the jab - all the patients they’ve had admitted with covid difficulties have been pregnant. Jab is many times less risky for you than covid. Congratulations and try not to worry!!

Thanks....I think I would have preferred to get it when I was further on. And not at like 2/3 weeks....but I need to put it to back of my mind..Well try. We had a late miscarriage last year so I think I'm just so nervous anyways. Thanks for the replies

I've heard before that they think it's perfectly safe but they just can't advise it because they haven't been able to test it for pregnancy (so don't want loads of trouble if one person who gets bad side effects also happens to be pregnant).

At 2/3 weeks pregnant you are quite literally at the point of sperm meeting egg and possibly have just a few tiny cells floating through your tubes. A vaccine or indeed anything you put in your body at this stage will have no affect on your pregnancy as it is yet to even implant in your body. Can understand your nervousness with your previous misc hope this can reassure you a little

As for me I had my 2nd vaccine yesterday - I am 11 weeks pregnant.

I had my Covid vaccines (Pfizer) in my first trimester. The worry about vaccines in the first trimester is mainly fever, which very few people seem to get.

But if you were 2/3 weeks pregnant you hadn't technically implanted yet. Physiologically you were not pregnant and there wasn't an embryo attached to your body at that point- everything that was happening was going on in your fallopian tubes.
