Gift for friend / colleague aged late 40s

Colleague's birthday is coming up and I don't know what to buy her.

Budget is about £30.

I love hot chocolate but not sure if she drinks it. She's never mentioned it.

I also thought about slippers but that is an old lady present isn't it?!

I got her a make up item, a box of sweets she likes and some hotel Chocolat chocolates

How about a plant in a lovely pot and a book?
