Boring Q: How do you line kitchen cupboards?

My kitchen cupboards, especially the spice and condiment ones, are all sticky and stained with turmeric etc. My mum used to line them with sticky backed plastic, and my grandmother with newspaper of wrapping paper. Is there a modern alternative you can recommend?

IKEA do shelf lining rolls. Its textured plastic.

I just periodically wipe down though because they move around and are a pain.

I put a few sheets of kitchen paper down on the shelf where I keep the oil bottles and change it when it looks sticky.

Put your bottles in containers. Catches any drips and makes it easy to lift a whole load out to clean the inside of the cupboard, but it stays cleaner so you don't have to do it so often or at all really.

I have a combination of cutlery trays and old mushroom trays, but the preferred choice those who like to make their cupboard insides insta worthy are those clear hard plastic containers that are in all homeware shops these days.

Same as @Zancah but perhaps I am super lazy as I also just put them in the dishwasher if they are a little sticky Blush.

Similar to Barbara I use the lids from posh biscuit or shortbread tins (like the M & S one with the handsome stag on Smile) as that way I can easily take things or and put away but it's a easy to clean and keeps all the salt and pepper grinds etc. together).
